Frances Palmer is renowned internationally for her exuberantly eccentric ceramic tableware. Though she has always wanted to offer her work more broadly, she did not want to lose its handcrafted aspect. Now she has found a way to have both, partnering with the Buffalo Pottery, a century old name in American dinnerware.
The collaboration between manufacturer and artist, titled the Frances Palmer Pearl Collection, presses the pices in large editions from molds taken of her hand thrown prototypes: then finishes them individually. No two are alike and each retains the whimsical irregularities of Palmer's custom work while offering the durability of premier-quality vitreous china.
Dishwasher and microwave and oven safe.
These pieces make great vases as well.
